MedX training is a machine-based therapy under the strict guidance of a doctor or physical therapist. It is supposed to strengthen and stabilize the deep muscles, and was developed at the University of Florida.
MedX devices are no normal training machines, like those found in a gym. Moreover, they are computer-supported and can measure the muscle strength of every individual patient, which allows a very patient-centered therapy approach. Also, single spinal segments can be exercised isolated. Unlike other devices, MedX reaches the deep and stabilizing muscles, compared to surface musculature, which is often used to protect injured parts.
